| I spent a "Day Out With Thomas" in East St. Louis, IL on this beautiful crisp clear late October afternoon. The TRRA provided the motive power via TRRA #3003(an EMD SD40R) pushing on the rear. TRRA #3003 was rebuilt from ex Southern Pacific #8458. Mid America Railcar Leasing provided the passenger cars. The first 3 behind "Thomas" are ex Chicago Metra commuter cars, while the last 3 are Budd-built cars from the 1950's. |
