| I think that is safe to assume that the engineers that designed this Service and Inspection Facility for Amtrak at their 8th Street Yard in Los Angeles never envisioned that a steam locomotive would occupy S&I Pit # 2. At this point the 3751 is coupled to her train and will be moved to Union Station later in the evening. Tomorrow she will pull the San Diego Steam Special sponsored by The Central Coast Railway Club and The Pacific Locomotive Association on a round trip to San Diego and back.
