The sun is setting on the former Missabe Road. This ore car was built in April 1949, and it's been in service on the DM&IR for almost sixty years. When it was new, it was pulled between Proctor, Iron Junction, and Two Harbors by DM&IR 2-8-8-4s and 2-10-2s. How much longer will it survive before being replaced?
