BR Standard Britannia Class Pacific 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' crosses Hurstbourne Viaduct between Whitchurch and Andover on the ex LSWR mainline to Salisbury and Exeter. It is hauling another of the Cathedrals Express railtours from Waterloo to Exeter. When I left home, 40 miles north of here, there was thick fog, but for once the weather gods were on my side as the sun broke through 10 minutes before the train appeared. Typically though, 5 minutes before the train arrived, the family of swans visible in the foreground were perfectly posed in the pool on the left, but then moved.
