| My first encounter with the famous LTVSMC "6 Pack" was on a crisp day in early November 1998 as this stunning set worked ore loads east for the dock at Taconite Harbor. Hard to believe that 10 years later the successor to this operation, Cliffs Erie, is temporally running a five unit F9 set that includes 4211 (now owned by the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth but loaned to Cliffs). |
