| The triumphant recent return to steam of classmate 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' reminded me that the inaugural member of the class, 'Britannia' has now been out of service for over 11 years. Restoration is underway, but it may be many years yet before she will steam again. Here is 'Britannia' in happier times, pictured on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway just before her withdrawal. |
