Pennsy 4390 takes on water at Crowl. The Shamokin branch ran 27 miles from the Susquehanna at Sunbury, PA., to an interchange with the LV at Mt. Carmel, PA., and saw a lot of ore moves. Thanks to stories by David P. Morgan in Trains on where the last steam could be found, John was able to capture the 2-10-0 I1's which were the ideal tools for heavy-haul service used on this PRR branchline.
