| In the promos for the Nevada Northern Winter Photo Shoots, they tell you you're going to freeze your butt off...and that becomes reality as you stand around the East Ely Yard in the dark with the temperature in the single digits. Here, NNR's 1950s-era Alco RS-3 poses with an odd combination of a 1912-vintage wooden box car and an 1886-vintage combine/outfit car, in front of...of all things...a coaling tower. This photo is a 30-second exposure using only yard lighting. |
