Shortly after CP's take over of the D&H in the Fall of 1990, the much anticipated arrival of 6 axle MLW's was occurring. On one of the first weekends of operation on the old D&H, three 6 axle MLW's are parked on the head end of 556 waiting for a crew change to head south. Amtrak #69, The Adirondack, with it's then standard RTL-I Turbo set, kicks up the snow as it rolls by NB on the main.
