| This is the 'Keighley & Worth Valley 40th Anniversary Special' running through the heavily cambered curves at Elsecar, deep in the heart South Yorkshire. Little trace remains to tell the casual observer that this was once the heartland of the British coal mining industry. The train is heading north from Sheffield towards Barnsley thence to Wakefield, this route had not seen steam for many a long year. |
