| The impending end of steam saw many 'specials' such as this 'William Deacon's Bank Club' tour for bank employees. Rebuilt 'Merchant Navy' class 4-6-2 No.35026 'Lamport & Holt Line' is hundreds of miles from her Southern region home turf as she draws into Doncaster station. This northbound working continued to York before returning south on this murky November day. |
