Train number 11, the southbound Coast Starlight, was routed over the Tehachapi line due to work on the coastline. Seen in the Caliente siding, it's counter part, train 14 is about to pass on it's northbound trip.
Running daily between Seattle and Los Angeles, this train offers running alongside the Pacific Ocean and through the Cascade Mountains. It has been one of Amtrak's long-distance success stories.
