Its been years since the last "through" trains rolled over rails in and out of the State Capital of Wisconsin. However, flooding on the CP has forced some operationally creative detours including this one over the WSOR, placing modern CP power and 9400-ton land barges within sight of the Capitol building itself. CP 8852 east has 74 loads, 6 emptys, and 5,200 feet of train, the rear of which is still under the Frank Lloyd-Wright designed Monona Terrace Convention Center, seen ahead of the power in the distance as the train grinds along at 10mph.
