| Slivers of cold winter light slice through the exhaust-filled Bush trainshed at the C&NW's Madison Street Station. On the left is F7A #416, just in on train #712 from Crystal Lake. To the right is C&NW E8A 5031A and beyond are RTA baby blue E8As 517 and 522. There are no F40PHs to be found on this cold Saturday morning, January 9, 1982 but EMD out in suburban LaGrange will deliver another batch of those units a year later that will silence some of these classic carbodies. |
