| The days of solid Rio Grande power based in Helper have disappeared. In 2001 there were about 15 Rio Grande units hanging around Helper when I was out there. Seeing 7 of them shoving in the middle of coal trains over Soldier Summit was quite the site. Here 3 DRGW units power up the Dirt Train eastbound toward Sunnyside. |
