| With three other preserved railways closer to hand, it needs a good weather forecast to persuade me to drive from Yorkshire to Leicestershire. On an absolutely perfect morning, Great Western Railway 2-8-0 tank No.4247 shows precisely why it is worth the effort. She is now (2008) ninety-two years old. I don't look that good and I'm over 33 years younger! |
