Patience Rewarded: The weather in western Montana on Thursday, March 27 was less then perfect to say the least. Waking up before dawn to shoot Montana Rail Link’s Polson local, found fresh snow in the driveway and more coming down. By daybreak the snow had moved on but the cloud covered remained for the chase to Polson. Returning to Missoula, the clouds began to break but the combination of sun and trains just wasn’t happening. About to throw in the towel, the departing Gas Local provided one more chance at sunshine. Finally, as the Gas local climbed Evaro Hill in the late afternoon light, patience was rewarded.
