| A northbound BNSF train heading for the former WP-BN "Inside Gateway" at Keddie travels east on trackage rights over the UP ex-WP Feather River line at Pulga. This shot of the two bridges (the upper bridge is the highway) is a classic location, and I'm standing in the footprints of hundreds before me. But the deep canyon is very sensitive to lighting. About 15 minutes later we got a westbound UP stack train, but the shadows were just a bit too long. This was the day after Winterail in Stockton and a couple retired UP friends and I spent three days chasing trains up and down the canyon. |
