| A string of hoppers lead by a new GEVO leans into the curve just a few feet away from the junction with the Charlotte Sub with Hwy. 27 and the Catawba River in the foreground. I forgot to move my car out of my shot though, so in 50 years I suppose I'll still remember what I once drove. It seems that very few if any railfans take advantage of the Charlotte Sub despite its being near a major population center and having numerous interesting locations such as this. Everyone gravitates to the NS Cresent line for whatever reason. |
