| For the first railroad in Switzerland Kessler at Karlsruhe/Germany built the steamloc D 1/3 named LIMMAT (4-2-0) in 1847. This here is a replica from 1947, running near Erstfeld on a non electrified spur to the Alptransit construction site (new Gotthard base tunnel) for celebrating the 125 th anniversary of the (old) Gotthard line. |
