Remarks & Notes
This is the heaviest and longest train to run on the BNSF Transcon and Tehachapi lines. It is the 17,000 ton grain train. It typically runs 9 Engines in three sets, lead, mid and rear. Dash 8 871 is the last engine running in DPU mode. The train is descending through the Caliente loop with the lead locomotive 4963 in the distance. The Dynamic brakes were smoking on Dash 9 4831 the first engine in the rear DPU set. My best guess is there are 150 cars in this train, give or take. This train is quite a sight and I was lucky to find it this morning.

A far cry from the common wedgie ... and particularly well executed.
