Remarks & Notes |
Just minutes before CSX's daily 326 came rolling around the curve in the distance, an urgent call to the dispatcher was heard over the scanner to stop the train. A truck had taken the corner too tightly and knocked the crossing signal and gate over the tracks. Luckily there had been a maintenance worker nearby to remove the signal and broken gate just as the train came into sight. Without this quick response, this signal most likley would have been obliterated by the 45mph moving train, unable to stop in time. |
