| While backing up, on November 3, 2007, Lackawanna coach 552 split a switch. This cancelled all long trips for Steamtown's "Lackawanna Fest" on November 4. You can see the gravel grade crossing in the foreground being made by a front-end loader for the outside contractor crane to fix the mess. We can all be grateful the train was empty and no one was hurt. I was particularly glad since I had been riding all day in a coach coupled to it! |
