| Amtrak's new F40's were going into service in 1978 but the Superliner cars were not yet available. F40 #203 is leading two SDP40F's with the Eastbound "Coast Starlight" still equipped with steam heated coaches as it apoproaches the community of Alviso in North San Jose. |
