The seldom photographed, but very handsome, Royal Scot class no. 6115 Scots Guardsman made a rare 'outside' appearance at the 150th anniversary celebrations at Liverpool Road Station, Manchester in 1980. This is the oldest railway station in the world, being opened in 1830. It now forms part of the Museum of Science and Industry. 6115 is currently not on public view whilst it is under restoration at Carnforth.
