| Southbound BNSF stacks sit to investigate a problem at the Pacific Coast Highway grade, the last major grade crossing on the Alameda Corridor, which will soon be replaced by a fenced in highway overpass. In the background is the massive Texaco Oil Refinery that gives this stretch of trackage the nickname "Texaco Slot." This line was originally built in the mid 1930s by the Municipal Terminal Railway to give Santa Fe access to the LA Harbor. |
