Conrail SB CNSY, running from a CN connection at Huntingdon, PQ to Dewitt Yard in Syracuse (predecessor train to CNSE and Q620), heads into the big curve at Richland and past the last remnant of the old station. The curve is actually the old north leg of the wye between the Rome, Watertown, & Ogdensburg (RW&O) Rome to Watertown main and the RW&O east west Hojack line from Richland to western New York. The dirt path in foreground is remnant of line to Rome. The Montreal Secondary from Syracuse to Watertown uses the alignment of 3 seperate RW&O lines patched together after abandonments. Previous symbol of MCSE (Montreal to Selkirk) was split into CNSY and CPSE in May 1989.
A collection of photos of the trains and operations on the former Conrail Montreal Secondary, Now CSX's St. Lawrence and Montreal Subdivisions between Syracuse, New York and Montreal, Quebec.
