Remarks & Notes
A Union Pacific eastbound, with a mix of UP SD40-2s and Western Pacific GP40s and GP40-2s, passes the location of the old Cajon station as it climbs California's well-known Cajon Pass on June 24, 1981. In less than a year, on December 22, the WP would be merged with the UP and out of existence.
