An unusual 8-unit lash-up of Dash 9's consisting of 1056, 5035, 1020, 5251, 5977, 640, 4466 and 4454 heads an eastbound Z-train out of Warren and into Mojave on a 104° summer morning. The extra power, certainly not needed on this train, is probably being transferred elsewhere.
