Remarks & Notes

It was Amtrak's first winter on Donner Pass. The biggest change had been SP FP7 units displacing the newer SDP45's on the trans Sierra and Overland run. In this shot the San Francisco Zephyr is approaching the snow sheds at Norden from the West.
