An EuroCity from Milano Centrale to Zurich has just passed the station of Wassen on the Gotthard north ramp and is about to enter the lowest helicoidal tunnel.

The north ramp was now nearly behind the four-system locomotive from Siemens. Only a few meters left it to the portal of the St. Gotthard tunnel in Goeschenen.
