A westbound freight on Penn Central's ex-New Haven Maybrook Line climbs the hill at Stevenson, CT, behind a mix of four axle and six axle GEs. The lead unit, PC U25B 2685, is the former NH 2525, the New Haven's last new diesel, which is now preserved by the Railroad Museum of New England. This was a healthy-looking train, but PC had already diverted much traffic from this once-thriving NH gateway route in favor of the former B&A.
