ALCO Safari Day 5, LA&L: When finished switching in Avon, the road job departs with just one car for Lakeville, the majority of the inbound traffic having been for Barilla. There are a few forgotten relics on the South side of town, the two ALCO's may be relics, but are far from forgotten, still earning their keep in daily service for the LA&L.
New York state has the largest number of ALCO diesel locomotives working in everyday service. Here are some of them. Soon I hope to chronicle all of them.
