ALCO Safari Day 2: Elusive Creatures Second stop on my ALCO Safari trip was the Mosaic potash terminal in Rosemount, they roster an ALCO S-2 and lease a rebuilt RS-3. On a whim I made a stop at the Mosaic (formerly CFI) facility, not only is this operation sporadic, but photography is generally frowned upon. With a blessing from the main office, and staying outside the fence, I caught ALCO S-2 9027 shoving hard on a few potash loads to spot in the facility. Catching a 539 powered locomotive in revenue service is rare indeed.
