| By mid-July of 2004, the C&TS had not seen any double-header action in a long time due to lower ridership and motive power shortages.  Times were lean.  So there was considerable excitement when word leaked that there would be a double-header on the 15th - a weekday. 
 I took a quick 2 day trip to Chama and got, well... Not exactly what I expected.  Turns out the RR needed to get 4 flatcars to the top of Cumbres for a tie project, AND needed extra power for the daily Chama train so here's the unusual train a handful of us got to see that day.
