As the Connecticut Department of Transportation gears up for the May 2018 launch of the new Hartford Line service, test trains were launched this weekend with borrowed Shore Line East equipment from CDOT. Test 6696 south is seen crossing the Connecticut River at Suffield, Connecticut on Sunday afternoon, March 11, with one of the two remaining GP40-2H locos in this particular scheme.
