Remarks & Notes
The fledgling Colorado River, before its confluence with the Eagle, the Gunnison and the Green, is still mighty enough to carve deep canyons. A four-pack of Rio Grande SD40T-2s has a coal train off the "Moffat" line from Routt County as it approaches the confines of Gore Canyon.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
