| Metro East Industries has commenced constructing a large 90-unit order for Union Pacific that includes 45 6-axle Road Slugs and 45 6-axle SD40N Slug Mothers. The first pair that is being road tested at the MEI facility is seen on February 20 and consists of Road Slug #405 and SD40N 305. The Slugs wear a 400-series number that is 100 off of the Mother itself. Several sets are nearing completion. |
