| On February 17, following another 12-18 inches of fresh snowfall in the Green Mountains - more than 50 inches total for the past 10 days - Vermont Rail System dispatched the 'baby plow' - a Fairmont Tamper-equipped plow regulator - VTR W13 - to clear the Green Mountain Railroad's Bellows Falls Subdivision. The plow operated ahead of the Friday edition of the GMRC train #263 and is seen at Ludlow, Vermont, moving the latest snowfall away from the rails and hopefully preserving traction motors for another day... |
