As a winter storm culminates overhead, Amtrak's Southwest Chief #3 is seen traversing Bernal, NM past an operational semaphore signal. These historic signals continue to withstand the test of time, as yet another year has come and gone meanwhile this one here and many others still stand tall alongside the Glorieta & Raton Subdivisions. Decorated the Phase III paint scheme, today’s train features Heritage Unit #822 in the lead.
