BNSF 4339 South has been twisting up the arduous grade over Tehachapi Pass with its steady roar audible for some time now. Exiting Tunnel No.10, the heavy manifest passes the intermediate signals between Walong and Marcel with eight locomotives up front and two behind - in the old single track, SP signal system days.
