On the evening of November 14, the pair of Providence & Worcester-owned SD70M-2s, 4301 and 4302, are seen crossing Bellows Falls on the Connecticut River from the town of Bellows Falls into North Walpole, New Hampshire, on the way to the Vermont Rail System's shops. The pair of big six-axles were in town to lead a 101-car ethanol train south from the VRS to Providence, RI and were sent to North Walpole to be refueled before departing. A rare occasion as six-axles are not permitted east of the Bellows Falls diamond with NECR on the VRS, however the steerable/radial trucks permitted this special move.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)

just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
