Cool photo! But is it just me or is this beast not at all attractive? I understand the cost savings for using all flat sheet metal components but did EMD throw all of their design style out the window? Note that even the fuel tank is now angled...

The cables are for data. They are just there for the tests. They run from the cab to the passenger car.

This is from BNSF9838. I think this locomotive Is a one of a kind BEAST! I just CAN'T wait till this thing comes out in HO scale.

There are a lot of exposed wires anyway. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=47051 . It is now out in HO scale - if you want to pay $800 for a brass one from Overland.
