Ab 608 departs Feilding for Ohakune working the Heartland Tour train. Built in 1915, this locomotive was dedicated as a war memorial honoring the railwaymen who did not return from WW1. Based at the Steam Inc depot, it is owned by New Zealand Railway & Locomotive Society. The restoration recently cost over $500,000 which was raised mostly from donations.
