As the ‪Amtrak‬ Gulf Coast inspection train passes the historic depot in Tallahassee, Florida on 2/19/2016, the Tallahassee Fire Department came out to give the train a traditional fire suppression service "wet down". Crowds came out across four states to see the two day trip. Sponsored by Amtrak and the Southern Rail Commission as an inspection/demonstration trip, it was the first passenger train to travel this route since "Sunset Limited" service was suspended in 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina.
