With the temperatures hovering just below freezing, two crew members get ready to call it a night as steam locomotive #93 and the rotary snow plow wait outside the locomotive shops before going inside. Well renowned railroad photographer Steve Crise brings his strobe lights out for a night photo shoot with the locomotives. On this specific shot, the strobes that light the front of the locomotives didn’t go off, only the strobe between the locomotives did. As a result, it provided for a very dramatic scene.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
