Remarks & Notes
See Anyone You Know?

Nothing brings out a multitude of railfans like a steam engine! As a Union Pacific passenger special, pulled by Challenger 3985 and the UP's trio of E9s, climbs southern California's Cajon Pass, several tens of thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment records the scene on film and video tape. UP has the ability to assemble a first-rate passenger consist, and plunking that big 4-6-6-4 steamer on the point doesn't detract from the train's appearance one iota!

The American west is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions in the country. Rails rolling through wide open spaces.
