With the Tehachapi Mountains nicely greened up by winter rains, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe stack train grinds upgrade toward Bealville, California, on March 28, 2001. Former Santa Fe EMD SD40-2 “snoot” No. 6867 leads the eclectic group of motive power on the eastbound train.
