A typical lash-up from the early days of CSX before the flood of GE C40s started arriving, this set is led by an SCL GP40, followed by a GP30 still in B&O blue, and either a B23-7 or B30-7 Seaboard System colors. CSX power in those days was often scruffy, but you never knew what to expect, even on important trains.
Photos taken in the Deep South--primarily Alabama and Georgia--from the 1970s to the early 2000s. Featured railroads include the ICG, the West Point Route, SCL, Southern, Frisco, and even KCS.
