The M&B doesn't get much attention, and what it does get often seems focused on the west end of this bridge, which is a steel through-truss span over the main channel of the Black Warrior River. I always liked the east end shown here, which is a curving timber trestle carrying the track and roadway over several hundred feet of flood plain. This is the section that collapsed under the weight of the 'rocket train' several years ago.
